Update 09/14/2020.
During my playtest in class, I got a lot of useful information. I was able to get feedback to help further progress my game. I got some level layout advice, what scripts I should use for certain things, and got their opinions on mouse sensitivity, play scale compared to the level, etc. I am going to start implementing these changes for the next playtest and for when we begin to implement the audio and sfx.
Update 09/21/2020
Another in class playtest was today. I got lots of exciting information and feedback from my play testers. I was told which mechanics worked and which need some more attention. I'm excited to start adding more mechanics and sounds.
Update 09/28/2020.
I got a LOT done today. I worked on my game for a vast majority of the day and I am excited for the outcome. I'm proud of my work so far. My goal was to make the player feel uncomfortable and for them to want to get out of this prison as soon as they could. If I psych myself out when I play the game, then I know my players will most definitely feel the tension as well.
Update 09/29/2020
For some reason, my code for my lock door and key mechanic was messing up horribly. Lots of errors, and for no reason it seems. The code that MJ put on canvas seemed to not work for me anymore, so I decided to look up how to do it other ways and combined a few codes together to create mine.
Update 09/30/2020.
It is 3:30 am. I just got home from work and I am happy to say that I am almost finished with my game. I am now finishing up my design document and my blog so I can turn it in and try to get some sleep. I am very happy with the way everything turned out. Even though I wanted to do far more than the time allowed me for this class, I am content.
